A Ritual to honor the Mother Goddess Place
a white female-shaped candle at the center of your altar and arrange
fresh flowers around it. This candle represents the Mother Goddess.
Anoint it with three drops of frankincense and myrrh oil, and then
light it with a match. After casting a circle and calling forth the
guardians of the four elements, gaze into the flame of the candle,
raise your arms in a traditional Witch's prayer position with palms
turned up, and say: "Mother Goddess, creatress most ancient. This
Witch's circle is consecrated to Thee. You are the giver of life:
all that has been, all that is, and all that will be. This candlelight
ritual I do perform in Thy honor. You are the eternal and infinite
queen of the gods and the greatest power on earth, She who commandest
all that is the universe. Praise be to Thee, O Mother Goddess. This
is my will, so mote it be." |

Set the dry ice in the centre of the working area. Participants circle desoil around the ice, chanting "Ka-ao-opua-loa" (the sharp-pointed living cloud). In the Hawaiian legends, this was the name of the kupua of the cloud people. Circling and chanting continue for 10-15 minutes, at the end of which all sit down in a circle as close to the ice as possible. All stare into the fog rising from the ice until tunnel vision sets in (the field of vision goes black except for the object focused upon). At the moment that tunnel vision occurs, say: BER WOCEP WHEBONG As below, so above NEKOZY ONGO TENFEMET SOCAGI The cloud is in my eye KA-AO-OPUA LOA HATUNN DOUCK Ka-ao-opua-loa carry my sight Participants begin spinning at increasing speed with eyes closed, all the while repeating TENFEMET DOUCK When spinning is no longer possible, partcipants lie on their backs and open the eyes completely (no squinting) and focus on the first cloud they see. All repeat: BER WHEBONG WOCEP as above, so below NEKOZY ONGO TENFEMET TRESLIX my eye is in the cloud XIQUAL TENFEMET-NEKOZY phenomenize the cloud-eye Visualise a fog exactly like that rising from the dry ice leaving the eyes and rushing up to join with the clouds. Observe it entirely passively, and with the inner voice repeat "This self is Tenfemet-Douck, the cloud that sees." When tunnel vision again sets in, close the eyes and open them again quickly. Look down over the terrain that passes below your cloud-eye. Note details if desired, but do not attempt to influence direction or speed of motion. All control of these should be left to the wind. When you have achieved your desired results, switch out of the passive mode and attempt to influence direction or speed. Find yourself back in your human body looking up at the clouds. Banish by laughter, and with other means if desired.

One of the most meaningful reasons for meditation is to focus yourself. Not only will it relax you, but it will quiet your mind, allowing you to proceed on your path. Meditate before any ceremony, ritual or spell; this is why we call meditation
Meditation Ritual Light the candle and sit in front of it in any position you feel comfortable. Breath deep; fill your lungs with air. Release. Repeat this seven times. Look into the candle flame and clear your mind. (Do this as much as possible. At this point you probably cannot clear your mind.) Take another three deep breaths. Hum slightly. Focus on looking into the candle flame. (If looking directly into the flame hurts your eyes, look a bit below it.) Keep humming. You should feel your body relaxing. Soon you will be in a trance state. (Some describe this as a very relaxed state, hypnotic state, or floating free.) Once you have reached this trance or relaxed state of mind, you are ready to proceed with the ceremony, ritual, spell or maybe even to face the day.

First you need to find 10 -15 minutes to yourself, if you can have a relaxing bath that would be good, do your hair feel as attractive as possible. Burn your favorite Incense, or oil , this can be any , the one that makes you feel great. Cast a circle if you wish but its not necessary. First close your eyes and visualise a mirror, when you can see it clearly , see yourself in it, full length, but not as you are, as you want to be, visualise very hard on areas you wish to change, and see them As you want them to be, as they will be. See yourself after you have reached the weight you want to be, and concentrate very hard on the image. Then let the image fade and bring yourself back slowly to awake. Ground and centre. And be aware that you are reaching your goal. Try to do the meditation at least once a day, but do it as often as you feel necessary to bolster your willpower, especially when reaching for that packet of maltesers. If you feel tempted, shake yourself, walk away and find the nearest mirror, when you look in it, see the image from your visualisation.

By the flame that burneth brightly, O Horned One! We call Thy name into the night. O Ancient One! Thee we invoke by the Moon-led sea! By the standing stone and the twisted tree. Thee we invoke where gather thine own By the nameless shore, forgotten and lone Come where the round of the dance is trod Horn and Hood of the Goat Foot God! By moonlit meadow, on dusky hill When the haunted wood is hushed and still, Come to the charm of the chanted prayer, As the moon bewitches the midnight air Evoke Thy powers that potent bide, In shining stream and the sacred tide In firey flame by starlight pale, In shadowy host that rides the gale. And by the ferndrakes fairy haunted Of forests wild and woods enchanted And come? O come! To the heart-beat's drum! Come to us who gather below When the broad white Moon is climbing slow Come to us who gather to the heaven's height We hear thy hooves on the wind of the night! As black tree branches shake and sigh, By joy and terror we know Thee nigh We speak the spell Thy power unlocks At Solstice, Sabbat and Equinox!

What
you'll need: What
you'll do: Pick a spot on the floor and set up candle and have notebook and lighter next to you. Take the salt water and sprinkle a circle around you and your tools. Once you cast the circle, DO NOT cross out of it! The purpose is to protect you when you raise energy. Walking out of it destroys its protection. If you have to move around inside the circle, make sure you move CLOCKWISE. Sit down and get comfortable. Speak or think a small protection verse. This can be as simple as "Please protect me in my sacred circle." Feel free to be as elaborate as you wish. Light your candle and first, just study it's flickering. (A good hint to know if any spirit energy is in the room with you is to have all windows and doors closed before you start and when the flame moves, you will know when energy is nearby.) When you feel relaxed enough, concentrate on contacting your guide. Keep your eyes closed if this helps keep your concentration. Don't push yourself to hear anything. It may come as a whisper or as a thought in your mind. Don't worry that you are *forcing* yourself to hear something. That's how it works. If you make contact, ask questions, have a conversation, TAKE NOTES!! It won't be considered rude. Ask for your guide's name. Have fun! It's like getting reacquainted with an old friend. When you feel that you are ready to end the discussion, thank you guide, ask him/her to stay with you or visit you often and say goodnight/bye. Blow out your candle and using your power hand (generally your writing had is the "power or sending" and your other is the "receiving", "chop" an opening in you circle and say something along the lines of, "I open this circle and thank all the energies that protected me this night." As you get more experience, you will become more comfortable making up your our words. Afterwards, reflect on what you learned and if possible, get a good night's sleep. It's natural to feel "high" after an encounter, so take a few minutes before bed to read a chapter of a book, watch some mind-numbing Tv to reconnect yourself to the human plane. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work the first time. Like I said, don't push anything or try to rush through things. Part of the process is to get you to learn patience and quiet. If it doesn't work the first time, try again in a few days. |
